What is the difference between 15″x8″ and 15″x10″? Is the tire just wider and will a 15″ x 10″ fit on my stock Wrangler?

Yes wheel is wider. Should fit, take a look and see how much clearance you have. Keep in mind the wheel and tire will travel up into whel well.
A 15X 10 is wider then a 15X8,the wheel size you need would depend on your tire size.A 15X8 is all you need for 30,31,32 and some 33 inch tires, anyting larger you will need a 15X10.
The only difference between the two is the width. And as for what others have posted tire height is hot what you should be concerned with when choosing the correct rim. The width is!! Take for example the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial Tire it comes is a 33 X 12.5 X 15and a 33 X 15.5 X 15… According to the last guy what matters is the height! WRONG!! There is now way you will fit the 33 X 15.5 on a rim that measures 15 X 8!!!!!!!
So when choosing the right rim you need to first take a look at what size tires you want to run!!!!
As far as the rim fitting you should be ok. Just make sure the bolt pattern is the same.
