Family Camping

We are going to be driving through next july and thought it might be fun to stop and camp. We need a tent site that allows big dogs, something family friendly for five people including a two year old. Near water is good, but not required. Something easy to find off hwy 90 is a must. Two of us will be coming from Oregon, and three from Seattle, meeting near Spokane and taking a break, then all heading East through Montana.

Do you know a good site to find campsites, or have you stayed at a site near this area that you enjoyed?

Ok, a friend and I are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon for early June. We are staying in a tent for a week or maybe a little more, probably at Mather Campground. What are some good camping tips for that area? What is the wildlife situation? We are on a tight budget so does anyone know fun, cheap things to do within hiking distance? (We wont have a car as we are arriving by train.) We can only take so much on the train so is food cheap at the local store? ANY info, especially from people who previously stayed at Mather would be greatly appreciated!!

I live in the bay area near san francisco and I was wondering if anyone knew place or knew of a website where we can camp out on the beach.
Preferably no more than 2 or 3 hours away.

I am going to 5th grade camp in a week or 2 and i cant help but feel like i am missing something! there will be guys there too so i want to look dacent! and i have the most curly hair and u cant bring electronics which means no hair straightner! any tips!! HELP ME!!!!
