max rims for 07 wrangler sahara edition?

I’m interested in buying a 2007 jeep wragler JK, i was interested in some visual customization. first off, i’d like to get a 2″ skyjacker suspension lift kit. Now i’d like to know, after the lift, how large can i go with the rims and tires. Can i put 28″ rims on it with a side wall of 4-5″, or do i need to go smaller?
Also, i don’t understand the idea of backspacing, someone told me i’d need to have the wheels backspaced, do i need to?

    Where to start…..
DO NOT PUT 28″ WHEELS ON A JEEP.

1.They will tear the jeep apart
    2. Most 28″ wheels are made only in 8 lug. You jeep is a 5 lug
    3. They will look terrible on the jeep

That said, 22″ wheels will look decent, and will fit on the jeep. Plus they make tires that will work. Nitto and toyo both have wheels that will work. You can put 33″ tall tires on a JK with a 2.5″ lift and that will work out.

A rule of thumb….every time you go up, you must go out. Having said that every time you lift a vehicle you need to go out with the backspacing, or your gonna look stupid and be off center and tilty. I don’t think that it matters that much with just a 2″ lift. And my question for you is…Why do you want big ol’ fancy wheels on something that you are lifting? Obviously you are not going wheeling because if you were your wheels would be narly looking, and would cost you a lot of money. This is why I stick to the basic black steels.

    Try looking at this website:
