If looks good engine oil and engine compartment and interior and underneath carridge and drives like a dream i would say go for it. lifts and tires and sound systems arent cheap.

  2. Jose says:

Try to lower it to $4500

check http://www.kbb.com. Take in to consideration the lift and wheels are worth a big percentage of that price. If it was well maintained and in good condition, sounds fair to me.

I agree with the the others. Thats not a bad price many people depending on condition ask much higher.

    Good luck keep jeepin

If it’s a 6 cylinder, 5 speed with good service records it sounds good. Avoid 4 cylinder & automatics. Have they ever changed the differential oil? How ’bout the transfer case? Did they throw in new plugs at 100K?

If the tires are ’31′s your okay – if bigger you may need lift to avoid rubbing.

This could be great, but ask the questions. BTW, sound systems are a dime a dozen. If everything else ain’t right, the sound system will keep you company while waiting for a tow.

The owner is asking way too much, the key is to negotiate. You can probably buy it for 3500$ no more than $4000.

miles are good, that’s not high for a 10 year old vehicle, in fact it’s below average.
Take it to a Mechanic and have it checked over. If he says its in good shape then yes $5,000 is a very fair price for the added equipment you mentioned and the vehicle.

A dealership would probably sell it for about $6-7k retail. If it’s a 6 cyl, automatic with A/C it’s definitely a great deal (those sell quick!)! If no A/C and a 4 cyl, you may sit on it a bit (we do!), but being that it’s lifted with a great system and people who know Jeeps expect Wranglers not to have A/C, I think the price is fair.

If you get the engine detailed and include those pics in your ad (if you have one) you’re bound to instill more confidence in the buyer. There are plenty of places to advertise too. We put our cars on cars.com and get great results! People who tend to look for cars online tend to have a little more money, so your online clientele will be willing to spend a little bit more on a vehicle versus the clientele that picks up a free magazine. Also, to make it “look” cheaper, if you lower the price to $4995, it psychologically appears to be more affordable. Zero’s and 9′s in a price appear (at first glance) to be a little intimidating (why do you think you see a lot of things end with 95?). Hope this helps! Good luck!
