The lift is installed by a DEALER, not the factory, Pick out the Jeep that you want and then go to a local LIFT SHOP OR dealer for the price to LIFT YOUR NEW JEEP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MOST BANKS WILL FINANCE THE ADDITIONS TO YOUR CAR IF IT IS NEW AND THE LIFT IS INSTALLED BEFORE YOU BUY THE CAR.

Im sure your shocks will be ok if it is already lifted. You will know the first bump you hit, it will "bottom up" and "clunk". You should be fine.

Off road tires are SO much cheaper in r15 sizes - I don't blame you.

There are a number of steel wheels from Pro-Comp that will fit (3.75 backspacing or so is about right) , and I've seen guys running Cragar Soft 8's - steel wheels are hard to balance though.

Here is a JK on 35x13.5 on 15" Cragar Soft 8's, these are 4" back spacing.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y80/merfsiu/IMG_4500_800.jpg

Aluminum wheels tend to be thicker than steel and may have a hard time clearing the brakes. The only way to know for sure is to test fit them, and I'd test any steel ones you're planning on as well just to be sure.

well you can do the same with 16's and atleast 16's will clear the brakes 15's will require test fitting atleast to see if they clear the brakes and steering linkages.

You have to be honest with yourself and ask yourself what you intend to do with the jeep. If you plan to go off roading and serious off roading then you will have to drop the cash. If you are just looking for a cool ride then you can cut corners. If you don't know much about jeeps then you would probably not know a lot about off roading yet. I would suggest you start a little smaller with 33" you will still need a lift but you can get a Budget Boost at a considerable saving in money. This will also give you the same factory ride. To have the 33" you will also have to add a body lift with the BB. Total without tires you can get for under $400. Otherwise you are looking at a suspension lift which is expensive and more detailed. By the way are you running a 4 or 6 cylinder with the bigger tires you will need to regear. More important in the 4 vurses the 6.

I would suggest looking at some jeep clubs in the Denver area there are a lot. here is a link to quadratec's site, they offer everything for a jeep, you can also sign up for their catalog and get ideas of where you want you jeep to go. The link is for all the jeep clubs in colorado.
http://www.quadratec.com/community/jeep_clubs/jeep_club_by_state.php?st=CO
From there you can find people that know a lot about jeeps and probably set you up with a good deal and possible help you in your build.

Sorry this is long but there is so much info and with the limited details it is hard to narrow down. email me with some more details and I can point you in the right direction. Like I said in a different post. The jeep community is a very close knit community and always willing to help out a fellow jeeper.

Go with a 2inch lift and 32 inch tires, that way you won't have to swap your gears. With the larger tires you will loose a lot of power unless you change your gears. The 32 inch tire would be the biggest I would go with factory gears. You also can change your speedo gear to give you the correct reading on your speedo.

I would love to get into the technical mumbo jumbo with you about lifts and all the expensive modifications you will have to make so that it all works, but I think in your case you are going about this wrong. I think you should sell your current Wrangler and just buy one already built to the way you want it. You'll save thousands of dollars in the long run (lifts add nothing to the blue book value of the vehicle). Just make sure you stay away from the four bangers and at least research the kind of wheeling you want to do. You can do a lot with 31's and go almost anywhere with 33's on a properly lifted rig. Any higher than that and you'll find yourself in an expensive world of tires, U joint replacements, etc.

You'll have to messure the bolt pattern. from bolt center to bolt center.
from top to bottom.Like maby 4 1/2 inch or 5 1/2inch. some where around there, what ever it is on yours. Thats what size you buy.
Then how tall are just the rims you want 13, 14, 15 ,16 and so on.
Then how wide is the rim on your jeep.
depending how wide the tire you want youl have to get a rim to go with that size.
Then how tall of a tire do you want compaired to the ones you have now. like around 26, 27, 28.and so on.
What ever you go with make sure they dont rub your fenders.
hope it helps some

I have a Wrangler X TJ, with stock suspension I'm running 31x.12.50 R15 with American Racing outlaw II 15x10 rims, That's the biggest you can go with out lifting it. I just did a 4 inch suspension lift I can go to 33x12.5 and a 6 inch lift you can go to 35x12.5. The best place for Jeep parts is www.quadratec.com. Also consider how much you are off road. If this is a daily driver go with a all terrain tire. There are plenty of Jeep Performance around Denver recommend searching Google Earth. I'm not sure about Tires sizes on other models then TJ's, Once you go past 4 inches of Lift it is alot more money it misaligns all the drivetrain alot of searches won't tell you that and lift kits won't mention it most times.
